Hi Everyone! 🙂 This is a very anticipated post and one that I am so happy to finally share with ya’ll. Reading has always been such a big part of my life. For as long as I can remember I have always been a huge bookworm. I love anything and everything books. Also, a fun little fact about me that you may not know, is that I’m actually a four eyes due to my love for reading. I used to love reading so much, that I would never want to stop. When it was my bedtime I would hide under the covers and stay up late reading in the dark with the smallest flashlight so that my parents wouldn’t notice. I definitely ruined my eyesight because of that. 😂 Anyways, I’m so excited to share some of my most favorite books with you all. Books and reading have helped me so much throughout all my life. Books have helped me get over breakups, have made me laugh, cry, and feel so many other beautiful emotions. It’s literally so therapeutic for me and one of the many reasons why I will always love it. I really wish everyone would read more! Maybe this post will inspire you to add more reading to your life! 😉
So before we get into some of my favorite books I have to let you know that I love reading all kinds of genres. Seriously, I will read almost any kind of book. Some of my most favorite genres to read and the most books I own are Young Adult, Fantasy, and Romance so this list contains books mostly of those genres. I will do another post if you guys want sharing even more of my favorite books which includes more variety. These are books that have become so special to me and that have stuck with me for years. Books that make me feel so many emotions when I still think about them and ones that I hold so near and dear to my heart! I hope that if you read any of them that you too will love them! 😍
Ok so here we go my top 10 favorite books/Series in no specific order that I have highly rated and recommended are:
1. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone series by J.K Rowling
I think this series needs no explanation as to why it’s so loved by almost everyone. Reading this as a child was amazing. It is iconic and needs no introduction. If you have never read this series you need to get to it. It’s everything a book should be magical, full of fantasy, Wizards and other great magical creatures. It really is one of the best fantasy series out there and I love rereading it, especially during the fall season and I never get tired of it.
2. A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas
Oh man this series ya’ll! This created a monster out of me. I devoured this series in just a couple of days and it helped me get out of a horrible book slump. (Book Slump=when you haven’t read any books in a while and nothing seems to catch your interest.) This is a trilogy with a novella and soon to have a spinoff series based on other characters in the book. If you love retellings, fantasy, romance, Faerie mystical creatures, magic and a courageous female heroine then you will love this series. I especially love all the characters in this series and I can’t say enough good things about it. My most favorite book in this series is A Court of Mist and Fury (2nd book). If you read it you’ll know why but here’s a little hint…Rhysand! 🤫 This series made me laugh, cry, swoon, and gave me all of the feels!
3. A Throne of Glass series by Sarah J.Maas
This is another series that is so near and dear to my heart. After reading Sarah J. Maas’s ACOTAR series I had to read her first series the Throne of Glass series. I think Maas is phenomenal at creating characters that stick with you forever, world building, and amazing story lines. If you love to read about fantasy, a female heroine, romance, Fae, kings, queens, assassins, magic, dragon, witches, battle scenes and so much more then this is the perfect series for you. Some of these books are huge and I honestly read them all so fast! I loved them so much and wish they were all longer. This series is already complete so you can read it from beginning to end and not have to worry about waiting years for the release of the next book. This Series has a total of 7 books and one novella. If you decide to read this series I suggest you read the novellas The Assassins Blade first, because it will be beneficial for other parts throughout the other books in the series. Seriously everything goes full circle in Maas books and every little detail is important so make sure not to skip this one. My absolute favorite books in this series are Empire of Storms & Kingdom of Ash. Both of her series quickly became my favorites and Sarah J. Maas instantly became one of my favorite authors too.
4. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
This book will definitely give you all the feels and warm your heart. Eleanor and Park follows two sixteen-year-old “misfits” during one school year who experience their first love together. Even though they believe first loves never last they try against all odds to make it work. You guys! This book was so beautiful! I cried like a baby and loved it so much. I found myself easily lost in the pages of this book and finished it so fast. If you love young adult contemporary books this one is perfect for you. Be prepared to cry.
5. Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
This is another book that will give you all the feels and warm your heart. It was so good that I didn’t want to put it down but also so good that I wanted to read it so slowly because I didn’t’ want it to end. I thought it was amazing but maybe, I’m just a sucker for a cute love story. If you love reading about romance, mystery, travel, and adventure you will love this book. This book takes place in Italy and the main character Lina goes on a road trip while in Italy and let me tell you this book made me fall in love with Italy and made me want to book a flight right away. So, you’ve been warned! You may want to do the same after reading this super cute love story. This book is part of a duology with the second book Love & Luck following a different character. To be honest though, I didn’t enjoy the second book nearly as much as I did this one. So it’s totally not necessary to read it if you don’t want too.
6. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
This book is SO highly rated and it definitely deserves all the great ratings. You guys this book…omg! What a beautiful and heartbreakingly sad story. This is such a beautiful story, written so poetically. It is moving. It is sad. It is a story of love, power, loss, strength, and bravery. Seriously, it’s such a beautiful work of art. If you like to read historical fiction and romance then you will love this book. I seriously can’t imagine what life would have been like for me, going through all those horrific things that all of the people went through during World War 2. I think that’s what broke my heart the most; knowing that even though this is just a fictional book, it is based on such a horrible time in history. I seriously can’t say enough good things about this book. Just READ IT! You will love it! Prepare for your heart to break & keep a box of tissues handy because you will cry A LOT. I couldn’t stop thinking about this book when I finished reading it. It’s a book that has stayed with me for a long time. I think that’s how you know this is such a great book. I was very impressed by Kristin Hannah’s work and I’m really looking forward to reading more of her books soon.
7. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
If you love steamy romances, chick lit, and contemporaries then this is the perfect book for you. This book was so addictive and one I read right away. I read the whole book in less than 24 hours and it instantly became a favorite. It was one of those books that I wish was longer and never wanted it to end. I loved it and always recommend it to anyone who wants a quick and addictive read. In this novel coworkers Lucy & Josh are enemies and we follow them as enemies turn to lovers. Or are they lover’s? It could all just be another game! Read it to find out! 😜
